The Donovans: fall family session lakeside in Gallatin, Tennessee

Sumner County is a beautiful place to live. Fields, farms, lakes, and historic homes make up much of our daily lives. The Donovans love the water and wanted photos that represent it. What a wonderful idea to have family pictures lakeside!

Their children had a blast, dancing around, exploring the water, and even being silly on occasion. I have yet to meet a child who doesn’t like to have a tickle war.

Do you see these smiles? That center one was while discussing his favorite part of school: lunch! Then I may have told him his eyes were purple to get him to laugh. 🙂

There were beautiful maple trees near the front of the neighborhood that we just had to include in our session. There were so many genuine laughs, hugs, and giggles. Watching littles explore nature is one of my favorite things to photograph.

Thank you sweet Donovans for inviting me to spend the afternoon with your family! It was a blast.

Close family and friends gathered on a beautiful September afternoon to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Lopez. The rolling hills of Tennessee were the perfect backdrop for their meaningful ceremony, and all of the peaceful horses added to this significant atmosphere. I was struck by the intentionality of Chloe and Juan–each aspect of their […]

It was a beautiful summer day as friends and family gathered to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez. The sun shone warmly through the beautiful sanctuary windows in Vine Street Church and they set with beautiful hues of pinks and blues through the stained glass at Riverside Revival. It was a day filled with […]

My family had the pleasure of getting to know them over the past few years while we attended church together. From babysitting our […]
