A historic venue filled with wonderfully scented eucalyptus, full flowers, and smiling faces. Relix Variety Theater in old Knoxville was the perfect location for Brandon and Dakota’s modern, yet timeless, wedding. Dakota was a timeless beauty. When her bridesmaids saw her for the first time, I kept hearing, “You look like Audrey Hepburn!” Her father, step father, and brother also choked back tears when they saw her beautiful smile.

Brandon and his groomsmen’s love for The Office brought some modern touches to this vintage day. Dakota and Brandon joyfully excited their ceremony to “The Office” theme and their getaway car was punfully decorated with many Office quotes and quips. Minimal greenery and modern gold frames also brought the historic Relix into 2019. The mix of modern and vintage was perfect for a couple who values the past and joyfully embraces the future.

Dakota and Brandon’s love was confident and easy, something that only comes with knowing each other since you were children. Brandon and Dakota’s love story began in their early childhood and blossomed as they grew up together. Dakota’s mom was recounting to me how there was a time in their adolescence when Dakota and Brandon were not dating, but that both of them never felt quite at ease with anyone else ever again. It was obvious that they were best together, and now, with the “I do’s” finished, it’s even more obvious that this forever was meant to be.

As you look through some photos from their wedding day, I hope you not only see the beauty in their day, but the beauty that radiated from Brandon and Dakota. As their best man and maid of honor mentioned in their toasts, this couple is caring, unique, and dedicated. I know their best days are yet to come.
