On a warm, spring day in Cullman, Alabama, two high school sweethearts became Mr. and Mrs. Crane. Stone Bridge Farms was the perfect backdrop to their wedding, as the rolling fields, large oaks, and grazing horses set everyone at ease. When you have been together for seven years, many during your adolescence, there is a level of quiet comfort that envelopes your wedding day. Mackenzie and Cameron were at home together, eagerly and confidently ready for this step they had been waiting for since what felt like forever.
I loved watching how much Mackenzie and Cameron’s families loved each other. Their glances, smiles, and tenderness were evidence to how much they loved each other. Parents and siblings were ready to help, encourage, and celebrate. Having three sons of my own, I especially appreciated how kind Mackenzie and Cameron were to their parents. It was just another sign of how wonderful they are.
One of the most meaningful moments of their day was when they shared letters during their first look. The tears came easily as Mackenzie read Cameron her words of love, admiration, and commitment. It was obvious Cameron adored her and was overcome by the thought of marrying his very best friend. Mackenzie gently wiped his tears and they embraced in an “we’re in this together” way. I was moved by how apparent their genuine care and admiration were for each other.
When Mackenzie and Cameron said they were going to have their dog at the wedding, I just knew doggie portraits were going to be adorable. But look at this little guy in his bowtie! He was so fluffy and sweet.
The day continued to be full of love and thoughtfulness as they laughed with friends, shared many embraces with family, and celebrated big at their reception. There was absolutely no stress which left only room for celebration and joy. Mackenzie and Cameron not only love each other, but everyone loves them right back.
Sneaking away from your reception for a sunset picture is a must. Just look at this sweet joy.
Mackenzie and Cameron, thank you for letting me celebrate this beautiful day with you. I am honored I was able to witness your commitment to each other, and I pray your love will only grow in the days to come.
