The older I get, I more amazed I am to see life come full circle. Growing up at home, a younger teen began attending my church. She was friendly, lively, and outgoing. Later, that girl ended up at the college my husband and I worked at, and now I am her Resident Director!

Nikolette and Warner met in college and are headed back to our home in Alabama to get married next January. They’ll be getting married in the same church during the same month Chris and I got married. It will be so special to come back to celebrate something so dear to my heart!

For their engagement session, we stayed close to home, strolling around the nearby creek and walking through a tall field. Setting was simple and perfect to showcase Warner and Nikolette’s smiles. Just look at the way they laugh at each other. They’re not in love at all! 😉 One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is seeing how the groom looks at his bride-to-be. Let’s be honest, most men don’t love having their photo taken. But they clean up and smile just for their gal. Then (as we women know) they end up having more fun than they might admit. It’s usually toward the end of the session where jokes are cracked, silly faces emerge, and loving glances magnify. Just look at Nikolette’s smile at Warner!

Before we left, I asked these two if there was anything else we could get. Nikolette quickly mentioned how Warner would kiss her hand on a regular basis (what a sweet habit, right?) Of course that picture is now one of my favorites. Genuine joy and pure love. Nikki and Warner, I can’t wait for your wedding day! Based on all of the joy I saw in just this short session, I know your wedding day will be beyond fun.
