Kendal and Jonathan’s wedding was a very special one for me to photograph. I had the honor of capturing their proposal and engagement photos. Then my husband and I had the humbling privilege of doing their premarital counseling. Also, this was my first wedding to photograph with family in the bridal party. There were so many reasons to be thankful for Kendal and Jonathan’s special day.

From the moment I arrived, I could sense the calm peace that washed over Kendal and Jonathan. Both were relaxing with friends and family, with a little shine in their eye, anticipating seeing the other. The large smiles and contagious laughter that followed their first look confirmed their love and undying commitment.

As they tearfully said their vows, hundreds of supportive guests watched along, even through livestream in North Carolina. Being pastor’s children meant meaningful relatives participated in their ceremony, and both of their fathers had the honor of speaking. I was reminded how this unique legacy of faith would provide Kendal and Jonathan with a solid foundation for their marriage. What a privilege to be surrounded by so many to cheer you on.

Their night ended with a celebration at Camp Hope under a pink sky and stringed lights. It was an absolutely beautiful day, and one my family won’t soon forget.

Cannot pass up the opportunity to include a picture of the cheesing ring bearer, my oldest son. 🙂

Kendal and Jonathan, thank you for letting me celebrate such an important, beautiful day with you. Our family will continue to pray for you and cheer you on as you start this new chapter. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Truett.
