October 16 was a gorgeous fall day filled with sunshine, close friends, and plenty of laughter. The Germantown Inn was decorated with stunning fall florals and chic, historic decor. Rows of string lights lit up each courtyard, while bouquets and white pumpkins graced each table. It was the perfect setting for Michael and Samantha to be married and for their closest friends and family to celebrate.

They began the day relaxing with family, getting dressed, and grinning ear to ear. I enjoyed watching that unmistakable look of adoration as they each read a letter from their soon-to-be spouse. Their love was undeniable. This theme continued throughout the day with joyful laughter at the first look, grins and smiles during portraits, giggling and cheering during the ceremony, and, of course, shouting and singing at the reception. Michael and Sam were at home together and truly meant to be Mr. and Mrs.

I loved these special heirloom pieces Sam had with her. Her grandmother’s gold watch and earrings as well as a family tea cup. Her bouquet was clipped with her grandmother’s barrette that also played as her “something blue.” Sam’s mom also brought a dress from Sam’s childhood for Michael’s niece to wear during the wedding. Her mother made the dress herself years ago. These wonderful items added beautiful significance to a special day.

A sweet hug from his sister-to-be.

Sam and Michael, thank you for inviting me to document your wedding. It was gorgeous, fun, and full of love. I wish you both the very best in these new days as Mr. and Mrs. Winkler!
